Hair Today - Gone Tomorrow

Well, after holding out for 18 months, we finally got Benjamin his first real haircut. Luckily, things went very smooth. We took him to Doolittles - a child haircut speciality salon - and Benjamin did fantastic. He sat in a blue jeep and watch Tom and Jerry - sitting still for almost the entire process. We tried to do some before and after pics of Mr. Curly Hair, as well as during the cut itself. Check out the pics below. I even added a movie (taken from our camera so sorry about the shakes) of Benjamin playing at home on his favorite toy.

This is at home before we left.

This is at Doolittles before the haircut.

This is the haricut in action.

And here we are - back at home after the big first cut.

And now I need to catch up on some playing.

Ok, time to relax in my favorite chair with a snack. Aren't I a hansom devil. :-)

And for you viewing pleasure, here is Benjamin and the Slide - After the Cut!

Today is Benjamin's first Pajama Party! It is at his Daycare and all of the kids in all age groups are wearing their PJ's in to school and enjoying a Polar Express theme for the day, including watching the movie. I'm not sure if Benjamin will like the movie or even notice everyone it their "Night, Night" clothes, but I hope he has some fun and he sure does look cute going off to school in his Dino digs.

Bryan's Birthday

Benjamin had a great time helping Daddy open his gifts on his birthday. He especially loved the tissue paper!

Benjamin the Dinosaur!

I know this is the end of November, but I wanted to post about Benjamin's busy day he had on Halloween this year. We all went to school/work as normal, then Mommy showed up at Benjamin's school after his nap for the Halloween party & Masquerade Parade! Here is a picture of Benjamin eating his snack at the party...It is hard to believe that he sits in a chair at eats all by himself!

After the party and parade -which Benjamin the Dinosaur walked all by himself in (well, for the most part), we headed up to Mommy's work
for their annual Trick or Treating. He was a little shy at first, but he then warmed up to people and even met a new friend - disco Sawyer! We had a great time hanging out with Brandi and her desk too!

After we left Mommy's work, we met Daddy at The Brittain's house for their neighborhood Halloween Party. We had a great time - I think Benjamin loved riding in Claire's car the most! Thank you Tara & Alan for letting us crash your party!

We all had a wonderful time this Halloween & we cannot wait until next year!

Football Season

It's that time of year again and the Panthers are off to a great start! The entire family are fans of the Panthers and cheer them on each week, including Benjamin. He even wears Panther gear every Friday to daycare to show his team spirit as you can see in this picture from a few weeks ago. We are even getting our folks involved in the Panther Football spirit. Bryan and his Mom will be attending the Panthers home game versus the Saints on October 19th. They got really good seats and this will be Bryan's Mom's first NFL game. Let's hope for a great Panther win and some good weather.

Mow Town

Yesterday was a good day for Benjamin. Not only did he get to spend all of it with just Mommy and Daddy (which he has not done for a while), but he got was is looking like his new favorite toy.

Benjamin is becoming more and more mobile, and sitting still to play with anything seems like a challenge for this 'Energizer Benjamin' - hence our joy in finding out that he loves his new lawnmower. Our living room carpet has been moved about 6 times already and its looking good. Benjamin loves to move and mow, and as long as he's not getting to banged up in the process, mommy and daddy are loving it too.
